Rachel Lynn Inscoe Freeman, age 88, of Castalia passed away August 20, 2017 at her home. Born in Franklin County on August 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ire Tyler and Sonora Lee Morgan Inscoe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Drake Freeman; and brother, John Tyler Inscoe.

She is survived by five children, Sheila Lynn Freeman of Wake Forest; Bill Freeman and wife Judy, John Drake Freeman, Kathy E. Freeman and Robin Freeman all of Castalia; six grandchildren and their families (12 great-grandchildren)and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 1 Castalia Baptist Church with the Reverend Carlyle Hall Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Drake Cemetery on Red Bud Road, Castalia where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Drake Freeman.
