Billy Maydock Evans, Sr., age 81, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017. Born in Nash County on March 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Raleigh Elmo and Edna Mae Armstrong Evans. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Raye Evans.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Billie Raye Evans; and son, Billy Maydock Evans, Jr. and wife Crystal; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, Jack Evans, Elmer Evans and Charlie Evans and wife Linda from Florida and sisters; Tempie Tolston and Fannie Harper and husband Bobby from Louisiana.
Services were held Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Johnson funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Tony Bossolona officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
