ROCKY MOUNT – Martha Watts Robertson Hunter, 79, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008. She was born in Pageland SC on May 20, 1928.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, BJ Hunter; sons, Rev. Dr. James C. Hunter and wife, Rev. Kathryn O’Shields Hunter of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Samuel E. Hunter and wife, Victoria Salas Hunter of Rocky Mount; brother, Ray Robertson and wife, Martha of Pageland, SC; brother-in-law, Wesley Campbell Hunter and wife Joyce of Clemons; grandchildren, Erin Hunter Steed, and her husband, Chris of Columbus, Joanna Hunter Eagan and her husband, Joey of Charlotte, Heather Martinez Hunter, and Evie Robertson Hunter both of Rocky Mount; one great-grandchild, Sara Hunter Steed of Columbus; several nieces and nephews along with a host of loving friends.

A memorial service was held Thursday March 27, 2008, at 11:00 am at Englewood United Methodist Church with Rev. John Wenberg, Jr. officiating.
