Deacon Bobby Farmer, 81, of Castalia, died on Friday, July 28, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 12 p.m. from Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville with Pastor Cecil Harris, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Farmer of the home; two daughters, Charlyne Richardson and (Elsie) of Nashville, SGM(R) Andrea Farmer of Chester, VA; one son, Gareth Farmer and his wife, Yvette of South Plainfield, NJ; four sisters, Annie Bell Collins of Macclesfield, Mable Edwards of Wilson, Shirley Applewhite and her husband, Lonnie of South Plainfield, NJ, Gloria McNair of Wilson; three brothers, Jonel Farmer of Rocky Mount, Albert Farmer and Edward Farmer and his wife, Ethel, both of Wilson; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

An open visitation will be held on Tuesday Agust 1, 2017 from 3 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville.
