Samuel Hugh Edwards, 80, passed away Sunday July 16, 2017. He was born October 26, 1936 in Nash County to the late Guy and Frances Edwards of Spring Hope. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Frances Whitley Edwards and a grandson Brandon Edwards.

He is survived by his sons Mark Edwards of Rocky Mount, Alex and Wendy Edwards of Nashville, Kevin and Toni Edwards of Rocky Mount; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at Ridgecrest Worship Center with the service following at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
