Marilyn Ann Nunnery, age 68, of Chapell Hill / Whitakers, Saturday, July 8, 2017. Born in Nash County on September 15, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Jimmie Reddin Nunnery and Estelle Crawley Nunnery. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Linwood Nunnery.

She is survived by her sister, Yvonne Nunnery Pridgen and husband, Wayne, of Whitakers.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Whitakers United Methodist Church, with the Dr. Stephen E. Bradley, Jr. and Rev. Dennis Gregory, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Whitakers Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The family will be at the home of Ann's nephew, Steven Wayne Pridgen on Monday, July 10 and Tuesday, July 11 from 5 - 8 p.m. for visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitakers United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 276, Whitakers, NC 27891, where Ann was a member for many years.
