Hazel Lynch Evans, 83, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017. She was born in Halifax County July 3, 1933 to the late Osborne and Rebecca Richardson Lynch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mannis H. Evans, two sons, one step-son and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by sons Mannis Lee Evans, Welton H. Evans (Mary Anne); daughters, Glenda Silver, Prenesia Anstead; step children Juanita Richardson (Pete), Yvonne Richardson, Willie Mae Richardson; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Hollister with Rev. Willie D. Silver officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Bethel Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
