ROCKY MOUNT - Russell Aulander Everette, 91, died Monday, March 10, 2008. Born January 18, 1917 in Pitt County, he was the son of James Arthur and Ethel Meeks Everette. He was married to Marguerite Shine Everette, who died in 1982.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth Aulander Everette of Henderson; two daughters, Janice Everette Brake of the Dunbar community in Edgecombe County and Kaye Everette Stocks of Knightdale; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Anne Clark of Greenville.

Mr. Everette was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Marvin Everette; and a sister, Dorothy Trader.

The family received friends Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Johnson Funerals and Cremations at 1912 Sunset Ave. A graveside service followed the visitation at 12:00 pm at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Harry Kahn officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to West Edgecombe Baptist Church, 13821 NC 43 N., Rocky Mount, NC 27801.
