NASHVILLE – Floyd Edward Edwards, 93, died Friday, March 14, 2008. Funeral services were held March 16 at Johnson Chapel of Nashville. Burial followed at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens.

He was born July 25, 1914, the son of George Wallace Edwards and Annie Joyner Edwards. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roscoe Matthews Edwards; daughter, Phyllis Edwards; and siblings, Allen Edwards, Grat Edwards, Devon Edwards, G.W. Edwards Jr., Annie Mae Bass, Betty Braswell and Christine Harris.

Survivors include two sons, Edward Ray Edwards and wife, George Alma, and Bobby Gene Edwards and wife, Joanne, all of Momeyer; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and special friend, Azerline Winstead.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations can be made to the Momeyer Baptist Church Building Fund or to Meredith College, c/o Class of 1968 Phyllis Ann Edwards Scholarship.
