ROCKY MOUNT – Cleveland E. Watson died Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Funeral services were held March 15 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Eason officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

He was born in Wilson County on Aug. 26, 1932 to the late Eddie and Ruth Evans Watson.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Geraldine “Jerri” Watson; daughter, Linda W. Pridgen and husband, Greg of Rocky Mount; son, Gene Watson and wife, Marlene of Bunn; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
