James Lynwood McCullen, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. A native and lifelong resident of Rocky Mount, Lynwood was born on August 24, 1928, and was the son of the late E. B. McCullen and Maude Warren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Brame McCullen, and his brother, James Lloyd McCullen.

Lynwood is survived by his son, William Lynwood and his wife, Sharon, of Wayne, PA; one grandson.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Pineview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
