Florine Harper, age 92, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Born in Franklin County on April 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Creekmore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, W.J. Harper; sister, Daynelle Headen; and brother, Robert Creekmore.

She is survived by sons, Jay Harper and wife Dorothy of Wilson; Rev. William Harper and wife Amelia of Nashville and daughter, Emma Jean Cooper and husband Gary of Fernandian Beach, FL; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Dottie Andersen and Evelyn Bryan; brothers, Grafton Creekmore, Stacey Creekmore and Everett Creekmore; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
