NASHVILLE – Robert Brake, Jr, 70, died on Friday, March 7, 2008. Services were held Wednesday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at Social Union Baptist Church with the Reverend Nathaniel Bunn officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Bowens, of Rocky Mount and Sherry Lynch of Nashville; two sons, Clay Brake of Rocky Mount and Sherwood Brake of Nashville; four sisters, Lula Bell Anstead, of Whitakers, Annie Bell, of Richmond, VA, Helen Richardson of Washington, DC and Nancy Bridges of Detroit, MI; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Arragements were by Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville.
