Oretha Lee Cockrell Parker, 100, passed away on April 13, 2017. She was born in Nash County, September 9, 1916 to the late Archibald and Lorvenia Lindsey Cockrell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Parker, a grandson, Steve Vick and a son in law, Benjamin Vick.

She is survived by her sons, Monroe Parker and wife Marie, James Parker and wife Audrey; daughters, Daisy Vick, Loraine Thorne and husband Buddy; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister Bettie Ruth Ezzell.

Services wer held at Monday, April 17, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Moss and Pastor Reuben Batchelor officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.
