Carol Jeanette Langley Burnette, 71, passed away Monday, March 3, 2008, at Nash General Hospital. Born March 24, 1936, in Nash County, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Frank and Alma Wood Langley.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years Wayne Burnette; daughters, Debbie Greene of Wilmington, Donna Carol Cartee of Rocky Mount; sons, Tommy Woolard and wife, Susan of Rocky Mount, Andrew Dean Cartee and wife Angie of Greenville; step-daughter, Elaine Adcox and husband, Marvin of Macclesfield; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Earline Gindrup of Rocky Mount and Alma Walker of Red Oak; brother, Frank Langley of Roanoke Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 from 7:00 – 8:30. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
