Gordon Byron Griffin passed away on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017. He was born on July 4th, 1924 to the late Gordon and Alma Griffin of Nash County.
He was preceded in death by his son Christopher Griffin, sisters Frances Griffin and Tempie G. Booth, and son-in-law Bob Oxendine.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Ermine Perritt Griffin, his daughter Deborah G. Oxendine; two grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Susan W. Griffin, brother Odie Griffin and wife Judy, sister Louanne Griffin.
Private graveside military services are planned with the American Legion Post #110 of Nashville officiating. Arrangements by Heritage Oaks Funeral and Cremation Services of Rocky Mount.
