Dorathy "Dottie" Warren Winstead, age 74, of Rocky Mount, passed away March 10, 2017. Born in Charlotte on November 29, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Robert Winston Warren and Naomi Finch Warren Godwin. She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Amanda Pauline Winstead, and step-father, Eugene Godwin.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harold R Winstead; son Roger Winstead and his wife, Sarah Kennedy Winstead, of Raleigh; and daughter Polly Coats and her husband, Eddie Coats, of Rocky Mount; four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, Englewood United Methodist Church, 300 S Circle Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or a charity of choice.

Services were held Monday, March 13, 2017 at Englewood United Methodist Church, Rocky Mount. Burial followed at Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville.
