William Thomas "Tommy" Brake, age 75, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Born in Edgecombe County on May 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Richard Lewis Brake and Dorothy Bulluck Brake. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice Weaver Brake; and brother, Richard Lewis Brake, Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Kandy Haggerty and husband, John, of Rocky Mount, and Jennifer Michelle Brake and fiancé, Curt Bright, of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren; brother, Donald Ray Brake (Trish); sisters, Connie Hamlett (Jimmy); Sandra Gardner (Billy); Debra Calhoun (Wayne); and Lolita Keel; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at Ridgecrest Worship Center, 1120 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount with Pastor Kelly Shope officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5:30 - 7 p.m. prior to the service. A Committal Service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Worship Center, 1120 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
