Linwood S. "Pee Wee" Harper, age 93, of Castalia, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017. Born in Nash County on October 10, 1923, he was the son of the late James Milton and Nobie Shearin Harper. He was also preceded in death by his wife, and mother of his children Dorothy L. Harper.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Harper; children, James G. Harper and wife Betty, Gale H. Rivas, Lynn H. Hale, Libby H. Inscoe and husband Johnny, Faye H. Vick and husband Reginald and Linwood "Woody" Harper Jr. and wife Pamela; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 6 -8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
