Gerald Wade Stroud, age 69, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017. Born in Duplin County on November 23, 1947, he was the son of the late Needham Jeffie Stroud and Goldie Mae Jones Stroud.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Webb Stroud; son, Jeff Stroud and wife, Lou Ellen, of Rocky Mount and daughter, Rhonda Stroud of Rocky Mount; 2 grandchildren; brother, Darrel Stroud and wife, Angelia, of Black Creek; sister, Tammy Pittman of Black Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 12 noon at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Brian Williams officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, February 20, 2017 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
