HENRIETTA SIMON KEEFER (Feb. 5, 1924 – July 7, 2006)


Henrietta Simon Keefer, 82, passed away Friday, July 7, 2006. She was born February 5, 1924 in Erie, PA. She was the daughter of the late James and Jennie Glassman Simon. She was a member of Englewood Assembly of God. Henrietta was also a member of TOPS- Take Off Pounds Sensibly, and was very active in the life of the church. She graduated from Strong Vincent High School of Erie, PA. During World War II, she worked as a machinist and inspector with GE. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, C. Dayle Keefer.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Rosanne Kinsey and husband Kenneth of Nashville, five sons, David Keefer and wife Christene of Raleigh, Rev. Dayle Keefer and wife Judy and Rev. Richard Keefer and wife Dawn of Jamestown, NY, James Keefer and wife Gayle of Castalia, Joel Keefer of Knightdale; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, July 9, 2006 from 7:00-8:30 PM at Bowling Funeral. Funeral Services were Monday, July 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerry Blood officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope.
