Bertsy Davenport, age 85, of Battleboro, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was born in Winnsboro, SC on April 13, 1931, to the late James Thomas Craft and Ruby Lee Summer Craft. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, David Tank Davenport, Jr.; her brothers, Lawrence, Kenneth, Ranny and Bobby Craft; her sister, Iris Lee Craft Knight; and her grandson, Matthew Noah Davenport.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Davenport Griffin (Burges) of Lewiston Woodville and Nags Head; son, David Ray Davenport (Dinah) of Battleboro; sister, Abbie Gale Craft Caywood of Greenwood, SC; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Battleboro United Methodist Church, 229 E. Battleboro Avenue, Battleboro, with Pastor Patrick Sinclair officiating. Visitation with the family will begin immediately following the service and at all other times at 4242 Morning Star Church Road, Battleboro, for Ray Davenport's family and at 602 S. Main Street, Lewiston Woodville, for Pam Griffin's family.
