Linda Sherrod Braziel, 74, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She was born February 18, 1942 in Nash County to the late Alfred Thomas Sherrod and Daphine Manning Sherrod. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Wayne Braziel.

She is survived by her daughter, Daphnne Braziel Wooten and husband Mike of Elm City; one grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 12:30-2 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville. Immediately following at 2 p.m. there will be a memorial service and celebration of her life with Rev. Jerry Braziel officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
