Myrtle Leen Pridgen, 88, passed away Saturday December 31, 2016. She was born April 29, 1928 in Nash County to the late Benjamin and Pearl Narron Pridgen. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, V.V. Pridgen; sisters, Mattie Williams and Doris Burgess Hall; brothers, Buddy, James and Junior Pridgen.

She is survived by her sons, Ray Pridgen, Bruce "Buck" Pridgen (Wanda) and Randy Pridgen (Kathleen); sisters, Mary Elizabeth Batts, Betty Mae Hawley and Bobbi White; brothers, Jack and Bill Pridgen; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at Parkwood Baptist Church with Pastor John Scott officiating. A visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
