Myrtle Katherine Batchelor Vick, 89, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016. She was born in Nash County November 9, 1927 to the late William Thomas and Mary Edmondson Batchelor.

Myrtle loved her family, horses, flowers, yard sales and Jack Russell Terriers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Glenn Vick; her son-in-law, Mike Johnson; her sister, Lessie Batchelor and brothers, Vernon Batchelor and W.T. Batchelor, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Alesia Vick Johnson and Karen Vick.

A service to celebrate Myrtle's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Sandy Cross United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Rose and Rev. Carol Dean officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sandy Cross United Methodist Church, 3725 Sandy Cross Rd, Nashville, NC 27856, or live plants may be accepted. (Paid obituary)
