Mary Lucille Hyde, 86, passed away Saturday December 17, 2016. She was born in Nash County on January 25, 1930 to the late Jesse M. and Mary W. Rooks. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Hubert H. Hyde, Jr.; sisters, Lula Rose and Janet Hamilton; brothers, Ben, Jesse Jr. , and Jimmy Rooks.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Hubert H. Hyde; son, Charlie R. Hyde (Martha) of Red Oak; daughter-in-law, Sybil Hyde of Waycross, GA; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

A service will be held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
