Betty Ruth "Bet" Dales, 85, of Nashville, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016.

Open visitation will be held Wednesday, December 14 at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15 at 12 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Hollister. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The Rev. Thomas Richardson will officiate.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Richardson of Rocky Mount and Regina Battle (James) of Nashville; sons, Bobby Earl Dales (Lorraine) of Rocky Mount and James Edward Dales of the home; sisters, Lillian Silver (Robert) of Louisburg and Shirley Richardson (Roy) of Louisburg; brothers, Vermus Coley (Carlean) of Louisburg, and Duray "Darl" Coley (Susie) of Louisburg; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
