BUNN -- Clyde Dennis Beal, 64 of Bunn, NC passed to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. He was born on March 18, 1952 in Windber, PA.

Clyde retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of honorable service as a Chief Petty Officer in the Submarine Force.

He also retired from the Southeastern Baptist Seminary after 19 years of service in April 2014.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife JoAnn Hlobik Beal and his parents Emerson Beal, Sr. and Alwilda Beal.

Clyde is survived by his daughter Jeanette Bottorff and her husband Charles of Windber, PA; his step-daughter Gina Hlobik of Provincetown, MA and three loving grandchildren Audrieonna, David and Thai Numjun of Windber, PA.

He is also survived by his brothers Emerson "Buzz" Beal Jr. and his wife Lois of Nashville, NC and Cecil Beal and wife Sue Ann of Altoona, PA and an abundance of loving nieces and nephews as well as dear friends Alex and Beth Cleghorn of Youngsville, NC.

Clyde was a very loving Christian man who served the Lord by helping others. He had a kind and generous heart and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Friends visited with the family from 5-7pm Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Bright Funeral Home, 405 South Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587.

A funeral service was held at 1:00pm Monday, December 5, 2016 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with Alex Cleghorn officiating. Burial with US Navy honors followed at Southeastern Baptist Seminary Cemetery, Wake Forest.
