Margie Medlin Matthews, 90, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016.

A funeral was held November 10 at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville. Interment followed at Oakdale Cemetery in Spring Hope.

She was born in Harnett County to James Weldon Medlin and Addie Retro Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Linwood Matthews; three brothers, Gene Jewel Medlin, James Ronald Medlin and Hubert Philip Medlin.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Lynn Matthews of Baton Rouge, LA, Steven Craig Matthews of Rocky Mount, Timothy Harold Matthews and wife, Betsy, of Lexington, KY; 5 grandchildren; sisters Mary Ann Medlin Wooten and Joan Medlin Ward of Nashville.
