Robert "Dink" Earl Wood, 66, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016. He was born in Currituck County July 4, 1950 to the late Oscar C. Wood and Bessie Morgan Wood.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sisters, Becky Sue Aycock, Joyce Ann Smith, Nancy Lee Hughes and a brother, Oscar Charles Wood, Jr.

He is survived by his son, Ricky Daryl Wood (Shanna), two grandchildren; brother, Douglas Charles Wood; sisters, Linda Williford and Patricia Strickland.

A service was held Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
