Carl E. " Boo" Whitfield III, 53, of Spring Hope died Friday, October 14, 2016. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 18 at Batchelor Family Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Daughtridge will officiate.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday at Joyner`s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Carl is survived by his wife, Ginger Price Whitfield of the home; his son, Carl Edward "BJ" Whitfield IV, and wife Brittany of Wilson; his daughter, April Renee Whitfield of Spring Hope; his mother, Gail Whitfield of Spring Hope; one grandchild; his sister Wende Whitfield Trew and husband, Scott of Wendell; his paternal grandmother, Myrtle Whitfield of Williamsburg, VA, several nieces and an aunt and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father Carl Edward Whitfield, Jr. and his grandfather Carl Edward Whitfield, Sr.
