Charlie Alvin Joyner, 75, of Bailey passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016. His funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 1 at Joyner's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. Pastor Darrel Davis, Pastor Jim Robertson and Pastor Pam Denton will officiate.

The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Wanda House Joyner, of the home; his daughters, Jamie Massey of Zebulon and Lori Ann Joyner of Jacksonville; his son, Rodney Joyner of Pine Level; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Doris Phinizy of Rocky Mount, Barbara Liles, Becky Williams and Alice Joyner of Sims.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Thomas Joyner and Mildred Anna Whitley; son, William Joyner; brothers, Thomas Ray, Carl Lee and Mac Joyner; and his beloved pet, Angel.

Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be directed to the Maggie Society, 802 Broad Street, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
