Thomas Earl Peace, age 76, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Born in Edgecombe County, on July 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Robert Peace and Dollie Denby Peace. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Peace; son, Ray Peace; brothers, Buck, Henry, Ray, and Raymond Peace; and sisters, Dean Peace, Juanita Cone, and Louise Bozard.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Sherry Peace; 2 grandchildren; brothers, Bill Peace and wife, Lizzie; John Peace and wife, Nellie; and Doug Peace and wife, Christine; sisters, Frances Harlow and husband, James; and Jean Crabtree; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Allan Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
