Marvin Hawley, age 82, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Born in Wilson County on August 14, 1934, he was the son of the late Rufus Hawley and Gertrude Bass Hawley. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Edward Hawley; brother, Rufus Hawley and his wife, Betty, of Nashville; sister, Sydney "Tippy" Winstead and her husband, Marion, of Emerald Isle.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
