ROCKY MOUNT – Michael L. “Flava” Boyd, 36, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008. Funeral services were held Feb. 9 at the New Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Mary J. Atkins officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Boyd of the home; one daughter, Ranishia Michelle Boyd of the home; two stepdaughters, Tamika Arrington and Shamika Arrington, both of the home; his father, Michael L. Boyd of Tarboro; three sisters, Sheila Boyd and Mechelle Boyd, both of Rocky Mount, and Neksia Boyd of Charlotte; one brother, Anthony Jenkins of Rocky Mount; and one grandchild.

Arrangements were handled by Richardson Funeral Home, Nashville.
