Edward E. "Curly" Daughtridge, age 90, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016. Born in Edgecombe County on May 3, 1926, he was the son of the late Stanley Daughtridge, Sr. and Edna Walker Daughtridge. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Russell and Stanley Daughtridge, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Doris Newton Daughtridge; his daughter Gail Daughtridge Coggin; two grandchildren; sister, Edna Gurganus, all of Rocky Mount; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Arlington Baptist Church, 1500 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. on August 24, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arlington Baptist Church, 1500 Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
