Dorothy Ann Proctor Rackley, age 78, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016. Born in Edgecombe County on December 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Lee Proctor and Lessie Mae Proctor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ward Rackley; and brother, William Lee Proctor.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Rackley, of the home; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Deborah Henry and her husband, Clint, of Battleboro; her brother, Alan Proctor and his wife, Bettie, of Old Lyme, CT; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Friday, August 19, 2016 in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Keith Griffin officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
