Barbara Ray Deans, age 78, of Red Oak, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2015. She was born in Nash County on May 7, 1938. She was the daughter of the late William Randolph Deans and Mollie Moore Deans.

She is survived by her brother, William Ronald Deans of Pineola, NC; her two nephews Dr. William R. Deans, Jr. of Rocky Mount and David Spruill Deans of Raleigh; and eight grand-nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Oak United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 66, Red Oak, NC 27868.
