Ethel Ramsey Chason passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016. She is predeceased by her husband, John Robert (Bob) Chason and a brother, Tommy S. Ramsey. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Lofton (Buck) Ramsey and Sudie Mae Sykes Ramsey.

She is survived by her children, Victoria Frazier (Kelton), John Robert (Robby) Chason lll, Ann Hendrix (Ken), Mary Gessell, JoJo Ricks and Melinda Driver (Bob); 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister Margaret (Sissy) Wood of Hampton, Virginia

A funeral service will be held at Westview Baptist on 3408 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount immediately following the service. Visitation with the family will follow gravesite service.
