Rebecca Davis Wood, 84, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. She was born January 14, 1932 in Nash County to the late George and Lottie Rackley Davis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Georgia, Belle & Eva.
Survivors include her lifetime companion, John Wood; two daughters, Sandy Taylor and Ann Brown, and her husband, David; a brother, John Davis; two sisters, Edna O'Donnell and Ruby Leonard; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Cornerstone Funeral Home on Monday, July 25, 2016. Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery.
