Mason Boyd "Bill" Dickens, 85, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016. Born in Red Oak to the late Mason and Martha Holland Dickens. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Alice Rooks Dickens and his brothers, Wayne and Bruce Dickens.

He is survived by his sons, Steven B. Dickens (Joyce), Thomas R. Dickens (Diana) and Robert L. Dickens (Jennifer); nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Friday with Rev. Bert Kirk officiating.

The family will also receive friends at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rocky Mount on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 25, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Indian River Baptist Church, 1600 Laurel Avenue, Chesapeake, VA 23325.
