Althea Cox Viverette passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Ida Davidson Cox. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her husband Jasper Davis Viverette (JD), sisters Alberta C. Stout, Carletta C. Stevenson and brother Athel Cox. Also her Infant grandson David Bass.

She is survived by her daughter Linda V. and husband Rex Bass, son Steve D. Viverette; three gandchildren; sisters Silma Lee Prince, Dee and husband Jim Spencer; sister-in-law Jane Cox; ten great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Rocky Mount Memorial Park in the Mausoleum with the Rev. Tim Griffin officiating. Burial followed the service.
