ROCKY MOUNT – Cozy Mae Evans Lyons, 89, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008. Funeral services were held Feb. 2 at the Pine Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Lynch officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband, Charles J. Lyons of the home; one daughter, Marie Smith and husband Richard of Los Angeles; one stepdaughter, Geraldine V. Lee of Silver Spring, Md.; two stepsons, Gregory Lyons and wife Lynn of Washington, D.C., and Charles J. Lyons Jr. of Bowie, Md.; two brothers, George Evans and Joseph Evans, both of Flint, Mich.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements were handled by Richardson Funeral Home.
