Evelyn Bowden Medford, 79, of Battleboro, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016. She was born in Nash County to the late Joseph and Ella Blanche Edwards Bowden. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Randy Medford and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Medford.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Cloninger, and husband, John Jr. and Betty Outlaw and her husband, James; sons, Danny Richardson, Allen Richardson and his wife, Virginia, Keith Medford and his wife, Brenda, Scott Medford and stepson, Billy Medford; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Wilbur Bowden and his wife, Connie; and a niece and several nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Parkwood Baptist Church on Saturday, June 11, 2016. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the family cemetery located at Furny Hall Drive, Momeyer. The family will be meeting other times at 4888 Pine St. Battleboro.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Nash General or to Parkwood Baptist Church in her honor.
