Ruth "Jackie" Ruffin Hagwood, 88, of Bailey passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. Her funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. The Elder Jack Smith will officiate.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 12:30 - 1:45 prior to the service at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Carol Ruwe and husband, Harris of Bailey; her son, Joe Hagwood and wife, Stephanie of Bailey; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Beth Hagwood, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Hagwood; her son, Charles "Chuck" Hagwood, Jr.; parents, Paul and Lillie Stott Ruffin, and sisters, Alma Ruffin Wellons and Mildred Ruffin.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Jackie's honor to For the Love of Dogs, 5146 Quaker Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
