Mary Snipes Hayes, age 82, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Born in Robeson County on May 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Perry Snipes and Louvanna Parker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Z. Hayes; sister, Foy Edwards, and brothers, Albert, Alford, Percy, P. S., Bobby Jo, Earl, James, and Carl Snipes.

She is survived by her son, Zackery E. Hayes of Rocky Mount; daughters, Brenda K. Hayes of Rocky Mount and Linda K. Hayes of Rocky Mount; one grandchild; sister, Sue Neal Lupo of Raeford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
