Evelyn Catherine Ricks, age 84 of Nashville, passed away May 18, 2016.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Galatia AME Church, 320 Galatia Street, Nashville. Burial, Oakland Cemetery, Nashville. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at William Toney's Funeral Home, 516 S. Poplar Street, Spring Hope.

She is survived by her children, Doris Stubblefield (Ollice) of Mebane, Mittie Bryant and Rosemary Battle (Sterling) of Nashville, Walter Ricks, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Carlos Ricks of Rocky Mount; sisters, Hilda Peace of Newport News, VA, Carolyn Moore of Nashville, Theresa Enoch of Greensboro and Gwendolyn Hales (Sammie) of Nashville; brothers, Walter Frank Peace (Vera) of Rocky Mount and Julian Peace (Betty) of Rocky Mount; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
