Charles Walter Swanson, 87, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016. He was born May 18, 1928 in Nash County to the late Walter Miles and Emma Brown Swanson.

He is survived by his children, Hope, David and Rick Swanson and wife Kate; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 1-2 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2 pm in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery of Nashville.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Friends of Hospice @ 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
