Bernice "Bub" Pittman, Jr., age 62, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Born in Nash County on October 12, 1953, he was the son of the late Bernice Pittman, Sr. and Betty Moss Pittman. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kaye Pittman Joyner.

He is survived by his two sons, Jason and Cody Pittman both of Rocky Mount; his daughter, April Mowatt and her husband, Neil, of Nashville; four grandchildren; one nephew; and former wife, Mary Lou Pittman of Rocky Mount.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Johnny Hudson, Pastor of New Beginning Free Will Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
