Andrew "Drew" Davenport, Jr., age 62, of Whitakers, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Born in Edgecombe County on September 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Andrew "Billy" Davenport, Sr. and Peggy Marks Davenport.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Robin Perry Davenport; his daughters, Deana Davenport of Whitakers; and Andrea Davenport of Whitakers; brothers, Bob Davenport and wife, Rebecca, of Wake Forest; and Ray Davenport and wife, Cindy, of Grifton; his Aunt Lou Johnson of Whitakers; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Proctor and Rev. Gene Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, May 3, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
